Join The Foundation
for the Higher Good (FHG) on Make A Difference Week, the largest national week
of volunteering. Celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday in October, Make A
Difference Week connects people with opportunities to serve, increases the
strength of communities and promotes civic engagement.
It's a lot easier than you think. Past corporate participants have
told us that once the concept is embraced, the excitement spreads quickly.
Employees are eager to contribute ideas and energy, and take responsibility for
making sure the project is a success. Your company's particular resources also
may naturally lend themselves to a Make A Difference Week project. By donating
either your goods and services, or the skills, talent and caring of your
employees, you help others and promote your company by investing in the community.
Who takes part in
Make A Difference Day?
Anyone. Young and
old, individuals and groups, anyone can carry out a volunteer project that
helps others. The Foundation for the Higher Good wants to help you find your
piece to the puzzle; whether it might be as ambitious as collecting truckloads
of food for the homeless, or as personal as spending an afternoon helping an
elderly neighbor or relative. The Foundation for the Higher Good features
volunteers and their projects in articles and photos. Hundreds of good deeds
done on Make A Difference Week are selected for honors and headlines.
